Cooler tonight with less clouds

Accurate weather forecast now. Well, it’s another mild February day, and all those February days were so far away. We have good visibility, something we couldn’t say all through February until now. It looks very good outside now. 47 degrees is still fairly mild for the evening. The temperature blows from west to southwest. Very light breeze there, so no need to worry about the wind blowing this evening. There’s this atmospheric river that now runs through parts of Texas through the eastern and northeastern parts of the United States. Very visible across parts of the Midwest. If we zoom in a little more, you can see the cold front that was above us earlier today. This low pressure system is now far to the east. That’s why we saw a little splash earlier. Clearly this is not the case anymore. We only have a few lower level clouds drifting across the sky. But once those clouds clear, temperatures will likely drop tonight. We are now at 47 degrees and 42 degrees. In Plattsmouth, 39 Shenandoah. Same for Nebraska City. 47 or sorry, 37 degrees in York and 38 degrees in Norfolk. Tonight is a little cooler. There is a slight chance of rain during the day on Friday, and this trend appears to be trending downward further. There will likely be just a few clouds on Friday and a little cooler on the weekend. So, here’s a look at your temperatures for tomorrow morning. This may be the first time we’ve fallen below that freezing mark in about two and a half days. 31 degrees is what we expect in Omaha, Fremont and Lincoln. If you’re out in eastern Nebraska, you might be at least a little further out in Columbus, where it might be in the 20s south, and temperatures could be above freezing. There are, but maybe not a lot of slippery spots. It doesn’t look like we’ll have that anymore. Most of that snow is melting at this point. This storm forecast will happen tomorrow. Starting at 7:30 a.m., look up at the clear skies. We have clear temperatures as I showed you, and it will be close to that freezing mark. There are a few clouds building in around that lunch hour but it’s still mostly clear. More clouds around 4:00. If we see any rain or any small showers, they will likely be further south at this time. Although the patterns are heading south now, they will likely disappear outside tomorrow. By 7:00. More clouds disappear at 1030 on Friday, even clearer offshore. So maybe you can see the stars tonight. If you look outside by 8 a.m. tomorrow, you’ll find those cooler temperatures, mostly sunny skies with some clouds clearing up in the middle parts of the day, and that will continue through parts of the evening as well. But temperatures are rising into the 40s. Tomorrow there’s a high temperature of about 46 degrees there in Omaha. If you head south, look at the fall city forecast to reach 54 degrees, but most of us are mild or at least cool tomorrow and not much of a breeze on the weekend either. A bit similar. We’re talking low 40s most days, and partly cloudy skies, so there’ll be a little sunshine on Saturday and parts of Sunday as well. Temperatures are in the mid 40s there and it doesn’t look like we’ll see a crazy breeze on those days either. So the uncomfortable wind you were feeling is finally gone. Looks like he’ll be gone for the rest of the night. Slight chance of showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More sunshine. Monday and Tuesday, our temperatures will rise again, and it will be somewhat similar on Valentine’s Day. Temperature reaches 50 degrees with partly cloudy skies. And note that our highest temperature is 36 degrees at this time of year. We’re just being unreasonable
