Another day of nice fall weather before the changes arrive

Skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will be cooler tonight, with lows in the mid 30s and low to mid 40s. For tomorrow, we will have very pleasant fall weather again, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies, not much wind, and pleasant temperatures with highs in the 60s and low 70s. Make sure to get out and enjoy the nice weather tomorrow, because tomorrow is the last really nice day of weather we’ll see until potentially November.

On Sunday, changes begin to arrive. Firstly, it will be cloudier as the sky will be cloudy most of the day. It will also be colder on Sunday than it will be tomorrow in many locations with highs in the upper 40s to mid 60s, with warmer temperatures in central and northeastern Montana. Precipitation will also begin to return to our area on Sunday, where there will be a few showers during the morning, and showers likely during the afternoon and evening, especially in north-central Montana.

Rain and mountain snow showers are then likely Sunday night and Monday (generally through the morning) as Sunday’s storm system continues to make its way through our area. Snow levels will also decrease as Sunday night goes on and will likely reach at least 5,000 feet by Monday morning, meaning some lower elevation locations could see some snow mixing with the rain. We will also see mostly cloudy skies on Monday. It will also be cooler on Monday than it will be this weekend with highs in the upper-mid 40s and low to mid-50s.

Scattered rain and snow are expected on Tuesday, especially during the afternoon/evening and especially along the High Line. We will also see mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday. It will be cool and somewhat breezy on Tuesday, with highs in the mid 30s to mid 50s, and sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 20 mph.

There will then be more scattered rain and snow on Wednesday as another storm system begins to pass through our area. We will also have cloudy skies and cool temperatures on Wednesday, with highs in the 30s and low to mid 40s. It will also be breezy in some areas on Wednesday with sustained wind speeds between 10 and 25 mph.

On Thursday and Friday, we will continue to be in a cool and wet weather pattern. Thursday’s highs will be in the 30s and low to mid 40s, Friday’s highs will be in the 30s and upper 20s, and those high temperatures will be well below average for this time of year. There will also be some scattered snow showers on these two days, and a little rain may mix in with that snow at times, especially in central Montana. We will also have cloudy to overcast skies on these two days.
