California storm: 6 maps of radar, traffic and power outages

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California braced for more stormy weather as rain began to fall in the northern part of the state on Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for a large swath of northern and central California, with potential for road flooding and mudslides.

Rain was impacting the Bay Area on Saturday with a brief dry spell on Sunday and severe storms set to arrive on Monday. In the Los Angeles area, light rain is expected over the weekend with stormy conditions returning on Monday.

The wet weather comes after days of rain in California as a result of a series of storms in the Pacific Ocean. The storms won’t be enough to officially end California’s ongoing drought, but they have helped.
