9:38 pm | Traffic Alert | A multi-vehicle crash has closed two lanes on northbound Interstate 25 between Tomah Road and Plum Creek Parkway near Castle Rock.

7:04 PM | School delay The University of Denver will postpone its Tuesday opening until 10 a.m. For the latest delays and closures, click here.

6:40 pm | Close | Berthoud Pass will remain closed due to avalanche danger.

5:28 pm | I-70 Closing | Eastbound I-70 has reopened in Vail.

5:09 PM | I-70 Closing | Westbound I-70 in Copper Mountain has reopened.

5:01 PM | I-70 Closing | Both directions of I-70 are closed between Exit 173 (Vail) and Exit 195; from Copper Mountain to Mile Point 195, CDOT said.

3:52 PM | I-25 Closing | The southbound lanes of I-25 between CO 52 and Exit 232 are closed. CDOT said traffic is being diverted to Colorado 52.

3:49 PM | I-225 reopens | CDOT said northbound I-225 at Alameda in Aurora is back open after an early crash involving multiple vehicles that closed the highway.

2:55 PM | Denver Public Schools are closed Tuesday Molasses Advertise on social media All schools and administrators will be closed on Tuesday. The closure also includes Emily Griffith Technical College.

1:52 PM | Closing I-225 | The northbound lanes of I-225 at Alameda Street in Aurora are closed due to a crash resulting in minor injuries. APD told Denver7 the crash involved multiple vehicles and northbound traffic was diverted to Alameda.

1:35 PM | Douglas County Classes Canceled Tuesday | DCSD said the school will be closed Tuesday due to inclement weather. See the ad on the district’s website.

1:32 PM | Aurora Public Schools are closed on Tuesdays. | School will be canceled on Tuesday, which also includes Pickens Technical College, APS said. All Tuesday night evening events will also be cancelled.

1:25 PM | I-25 crash Mountain View Fire Rescue shared photos of a crash with a tractor trailer on I-25 between Highway 52 and Erie Parkway. The southbound lanes of I-25 remained closed until early afternoon, according to CDOT.

12:38 PM | Cherry Creek School District is closed Tuesday Due to freezing conditions, the Cherry Creek School District announced that classes and school activities will be canceled Tuesday. Before and after school day care programs will also be closed.

12:20 PM | Jeffco Public Schools are closed Tuesday The district announced on Facebook that all buildings at JeffCo will experience a snow day on Tuesday and all buildings and facilities will be closed.

11:06 AM | I-25 and Erie Parkway Plane Crash | The crash on southbound I-25 at the Erie Parkway exit diverted traffic through Erie along Interstate 52, Erie Police posted on social media site X.

“Avoid traveling if possible,” the ministry said.

10:59 AM | Road closures in Colorado | CDOT said other state highways were closed due to adverse weather conditions:

  • I-70 was closed at Floyd Hill in both directions due to several roundabouts
  • EB I-70 in Silverthorne was closed at mile marker 205 due to hazardous conditions
  • WB I-70 in Georgetown is closed at mile marker 228 due to hazardous conditions

10:56 AM | I-25 plane crash in Dacono | Southbound I-25 between State Highway 52 and Exit 232 in Dacono is closed due to a crash, CDOT said on social media site X.

The department said delays are expected due to safety concerns, and recommended that local drivers be directed to the area.

10:32 AM | Boulder Valley School District | BVSD announced that all schools will be delayed by two hours for Tuesday. The district said the following mountain schools will be closed Tuesday:

  • Netherlands MSHS
  • Holland Primary School
  • Gold Hill
  • Jamestown

10:18 AM | dia latest | According to FlightAware, Denver International Airport is reporting the latest winter weather impacts:

  • Total DIA delays: 231
  • Total cancellations at Doha International Airport: 318

10:05 AM | Road closures in Colorado | CDOT said other state highways were closed due to adverse weather conditions:

  • The US 6 Loveland lane is closed due to hazardous conditions
  • US-40, MP 234.5 – 243, Berthoud Pass is closed due to hazardous conditions
  • US-550, MP 71-91, Red Mountain Pass, closed to the north and south
  • CO-14, MP 35-78 Cameron Pass is closed to the east and west
  • CO-125, MP 0-52 South of Walden is closed to the north and south

9:45 AM | I-70 is closed | CDOT said both directions of I-70 were closed between Exit 173 and Exit 195, due to safety concerns. This closure affects I-70 between Vail and Copper Mountain.

9:35 AM | Jackson County Warming Center | The county shared a community alert stating that “all roads into Jackson County are now closed.”

A warming center has been set up for stranded motorists and is located at 410 Washington St. Walden, CO 80480.

9:30 AM | Road closures in the Greater District | The Sheriff’s Office said the following roads are closed due to power outage conditions:

  • Interstate 125 is closed in both directions between Interstate 40 and Forest Service Road 730 (31 to 53 miles south of Walden)
  • Interstate 40 is closed in both directions between Kimry Lane (3 miles east of Steamboat Springs) and Spruce Street (Kremmling)

9:25 AM | I-25 and Erie Parkway Plane Crash | Mountain View Fire Rescue reports at least six vehicles were involved in a crash on I-25 near the Erie Parkway exit. No injuries were reported, but many roads in the area were slippery, MVFD said.

9:20 AM | Douglas County Roads | The Sheriff’s Office posted a photo of the road condition. “#DCSO Sergeant Beyer reports the roads are worse toward the south end of Douglas County. If you must venture out onto the roads, be careful and proceed slowly. 📷 Castle Pines at I-25.”

9:17 AM | Jackson County Road Monuments | A community alert has been sent to Jackson County residents regarding the following road closures due to deteriorating conditions:

  • Interstate 125 to Granby
  • Interstate 14 to Interstate 40
  • Highway 14 to Poudre Canyon
  • Open roads in Jackson County:
    • Interstates 125 and 127 into Wyoming, although road conditions are rapidly deteriorating, and travel is not recommended, the county said.

9:10 AM | I-70 Closing | CDOT said the eastbound lanes of I-70 are closed between Exit 243 and Exit 248 due to safety concerns. This is located several miles east of Idaho Springs.

7:00 AM | Road conditions in Denver | Generally, mornings are pretty quiet for commuters in the Denver metro area, says Denver7’s Katie LaSalle. Light snow sticks to roads in places with some difficulty in distinguishing lanes, overall “it’s not bad” but expect some icy patches on bridges and overpasses.

6:30 AM | MLK Jr. Marad | Regulators are making changes for MLK Jr. Annual Marade due to extremely cold temperatures:

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Committee of Colorado has decided to cancel the program at the end of the parade at Civic Center Park due to freezing temperatures.

Organizers have chosen to postpone the annual bike ride as well.

Despite these interruptions, the parade will go ahead with the changes, according to organizers, who are discouraging the elderly, young children and pets with underlying health issues from attending due to the extreme cold.

6:15 AM | Monday forecast | Denver 7 Morning Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo says we’ll have to endure the bitter cold Arctic air mass for another day in Colorado with temperatures in Denver barely reaching above zero, but wind chills expected to range from 15 to 30. Below zero degrees.
