New Delhi: In a display of aggressive batting prowess, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill showed off their skills by scoring half-centuries, powering India to a 147/2 win against Pakistan in Colombo on Sunday.
However, their roles were cut short as the skies opened, resulting in the AFC Super Four match being suspended and rescheduled for the reserve day.
Reserve day action is scheduled to begin at 3pm AEDT on Monday, after Sunday’s game was halted due to rain.

When rain halted play, India had completed 24.1 overs and would go on from there with their unbeaten batsmen at the crease, Virat Kohli (8) and KL Rahul (17).
It will be a tough situation for India as they will play two back-to-back ODIs: Monday for the reserve day against Pakistan and Tuesday in the second Super Four clash against Sri Lanka.
Referees conducted inspections at 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm and 8.30pm but unfortunately the final inspection was hampered by another wet session which left officials to abandon play for the day.
Rain had already disrupted the important match between India and Pakistan on Sunday, following a group stage match between the two arch-rivals in Kandy.
However, despite there being an extra day for the clash between India and Pakistan, the weather forecast for September 11 does not look great.
