Library News: Week of November 19, 2023 – The Globe

WORTHINGTON — Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open 9am-7pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm Friday, and 9am-1pm Saturday. Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Holiday closures in November: The Worthington and Adrian libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed through Saturday in observance of Thanksgiving.

Worthington Library Youth Programming

Monday: Wii (grades 4-9), after school until 4:45 p.m

Tuesday: Kids Club (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m

Wednesday: Storytime (toddler-preschool), 10-11 a.m.; There is no after school program.

Thursday: Closed for Thanksgiving.

Please call the library at (507) 295-5340 to register your children. Children are responsible for their own transportation to and from the library. Please pick up your children by 5 p.m

Adrian library programming

Christmas watercolor: Come learn the basics of watercolor painting and then create four Christmas cards to take home with you! The class runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 2, with Mackenzie Mulder. Call the library at (507) 483-2541 or email adrianlib@co.nobles.mn.us to register. (Ages 13 and up please.)

New books for adults: “All Tuked Inn” by Rachel Hannah, “A Million Little Choices” by Tamera Alexander, “The Millionaire’s Amish Bride” by Alison Stone, “Dirty Thirty” by Janet Evanovich, and “What a Wave Must Be” by Angela Hunt.

New large print books for adults: “A Christmas Quilt” by Lenora Worth and “Knowing You” by Tracy Peterson.

New audio books for adults: “Saving Emma” by Allen Eskins and “Dirty Thirty” by Janet Evanovich.

New books for children: “The Puppy Place: Scruffy” by Elaine Miles, “Unicorn Diaries: The Glitter Bug” by Rebecca Elliott, “I’m Sorry” by Gina and Mercer Meyer, and “Hidden Addresses: A Seymour Clues Mystery” by John Solomon and Brave Books. And As You Grow by Kirk Cameron and Brave Books.

Offer and sell holidays: The Annual Holiday Sale and Sale runs until December 22nd. The offer and sale is open during normal business hours, as well as from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, December 2, 9, and 16.

Art Club: Art Club meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to join and everyone is welcome! Visit our Facebook page to see past Art Club projects.
