Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat Live Scores & Stats – November 6, 2023 Gametracker

MIAMI (AP) Bam Adebayo takes over. Kyle Lowry took over.
Both were absolutely needed for the Miami Heat to beat LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night.
Adebayo notched Miami’s first ever triple-double with 20 rebounds, Jimmy Butler scored 28 points and the Heat survived a major offensive drought in the finale to beat the Lakers 108-107 – a game in which no points were scored in the final two games. :38.
Adebayo scored 22 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and had 10 assists for Miami to complete its first triple-double of the regular season. Tyler Herro also scored 22 for the Heat, and Duncan Robinson added 12 for Miami, which won despite not making any field goals in the final 4:14.
“Kudos to Miami,” James said. “They played really good ball tonight. We were able to match their intensity. We played really good ball, too.”
James led all scorers with 30 points for the Lakers, who fell to 0-4 on the road. Austin Reaves had a triple-double and finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
“Bron was exceptional. This is a tough team to play against,” Lakers coach Darvin Hamm said.
The Lakers didn’t have Anthony Davis in the final 14 minutes. He left the game twice due to left hip spasm and finished with nine points and six rebounds.
“Let him calm down, get treatment and get ready for Wednesday’s game,” Davis said.
Adebayo was called for traveling with 8.9 seconds left, giving the Lakers one last chance. The inbounds pass went to James, who drove right and found Cam Reddish wide open for what would have been a game-winning corner jumper.
It bounced off the rim, Butler secured the rebound and time expired.
“LeBron is going to be like LeBron and pass the ball to the open man,” Butler said. “He did it. He literally hit it to the corner… Cam shot it and missed it. Good for us.”
Another huge play late: Lowry took over on James with 1:57 left in the game, and the aforementioned difference in height and weight between these players was nine inches and 55 pounds.
“In moments like this, he’s going to figure out how to win,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of Lowry.
Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell was ejected with 7:52 left for a pair of technical fouls for arguing, and Herro’s free throws put the Heat up 100-88 — just 32 seconds after the Lakers had a chance to get inside. Three points.
Taurean Prince missed a 3-pointer that would have cut Miami’s six-point lead in half, and the game quickly changed. Jaime Jaquez Jr. got a layup, then Russell had a turnover, and Jaquez Jr. got a layup again. Adebayo got assists on both goals from Jaquez, giving him a triple-double, and Russell was ejected for arguing after the second basket.
Hamm also had a technical late in the third period, and the Lakers had a delay-of-game technical — all free throws proving costly in a one-point loss.
“All I want is an explanation sometimes,” Hamm said. “To not have that for the rest of the game once I get the technical… Miami plays a physical type of basketball. We’re not complaining about how physical they are. We just want balance and consistency. That’s it.”
