Met Office snow forecast for Greater Manchester hour by hour with warnings issued

Greater Manchester is set to receive heavy snowfall tomorrow (February 8).

Temperatures are set to drop to 0°C in some neighbourhoods. It comes as snow and yellow warnings cover many parts of northern England.




Currently, the yellow warning covers the Greater Manchester area from 6am on Thursday to 6am on Friday 9 February. A yellow snow warning has also been issued from 12pm to 6pm but covers areas in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Forecasters warned that as the snow begins to fall, road and rail delays are likely. National Highways has urged anyone using motorways in the north-west and north-east of England tomorrow, including the M62, to check ahead and “plan for disruption”.

National Highways added that up to 20 cm of snow may fall on the upper section of the highway.
