After a nice start to the weekend on Saturday with more sunshine and a little cloud cover for everyone, we’ll keep dry weather in the forecast as we head into the weekend on Sunday.
High pressure will remain firmly in the forecast through the end of the weekend, after little cloud cover overnight into early this morning. More sunshine is expected throughout the day. The high temperature is only a few degrees warmer, reaching the lower 50s by Sunday afternoon, thanks to southerly flow starting in, and winds coming from the southeast at 5-10 mph.
Mainly clear skies can be expected last night and we look forward to Monday morning as we head back to work and school. Overnight lows drop into the upper 30s for most people.
A weak cold front will move over the region, starting our week on Monday, moving as a dry cold front, so we do not expect any rain. We’ll keep plenty of sunshine in the forecast, and with a good southerly flow, high temperatures will climb into the upper 50s by Monday afternoon. Despite the sunshine, it will be as breezy as it has been all day, with winds blowing at over 20 to 25 miles per hour for much of the day.
High pressure continues to dominate the forecast through Tuesday and Wednesday, meaning the sunshine trend will continue into the middle of the week. High temperatures remain in the 50s on both days.
Our next chance for rain will hit the area by the time we move into the weekend. While we keep sunshine in the forecast to start Thursday, we expect increased cloud cover Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening with rain showers late Thursday night. High temperatures remain in the upper 50s to approach 60 degrees by Thursday afternoon.
Cloud cover will continue into the weekend on Friday, and rain is likely for much of the day as another cold front moves through the area. The intensity of the rain is expected to subside during the evening hours of Friday. High temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 50s through the end of the week.
Cooler temperatures return to the area with the start of next weekend on Saturday. Temperatures are near average, hovering in the lower 50s with plenty of sunshine.
