Morning weather forecast for Friday, February 9

A bit cold, mainly dry until the end of the week

You’re quite clear here because we’re still continuing this streak. Maybe extend it to 13 days in a row. So, at the end of January and so far, every day in February, temperatures have reached at least 46 degrees. So, 12 days in a row we’re looking at making it a little colder this morning. Clear sky overlooking the city center. Omaha 33 degrees. Little westerly breeze. Makes it seem like 28 is out the door now. Most temperatures will be in the lower 30s, including southwest Iowa, which is showing no temperatures at the moment. The winds are fairly light now, but you can see the trend towards the northwest and Norfolk now. This will be the case for us all day long. As you can see in the northwesterly breeze, it’s not a severe storm compared to the last couple of days. It will feel calmer, but you will still see those 15 to 20 mph winds throughout the day. So, you’ll feel a little chilly when you walk out the door and in the afternoon. However, before 30 seconds, we will see a lot of sunshine for the first half of the day and then the clouds will increase a bit, but we still expect temperatures to reach around 46 degrees. So there is still a chance that the streak will be extended at least for another day. Clear skies now. More clouds arrive to the north and scattered clouds cover the south. There is a bit of disturbance near the Four Corners that will move in here today and will give us a slight chance of a shower. A little better chance, but still not a very big chance for the wet weather in the South. Show you here the storm forecast. You see clouds in the middle of the day. Low to mid 40s for lunch hour. It could still be mid to upper 40s by 4:00 and then in the evening. Any better chance of spotty showers, a few drizzle, likely south towards Nebraska City. Beatrice, Falls City, Maryville. The majority of the United States will remain dry tomorrow morning. The weekend starts on Saturday, high 20s, low 30s. We’ll see a mix of clouds, sunshine and a little bit more cold as we’ll see more of those highs in the lower 40s. So, outdoor plans should have a good mix of clouds and sunshine, and temperatures should stay in the lower 40s through Sunday. And this is just as cool as it is here. As we head into mid-February. The weather remains unseasonably mild next week, as we get the sunshine back. On Monday, the upper 40s will likely briefly reach 50 on Tuesday and not too bad for Valentine’s Day. Wednesday before we see another slight decline at the end of the seven-day forecast, but we will still hold those highs in the 40s on the 5th.
