MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – We expect to have another day of warm, dry weather here across central and south Alabama before our overall weather pattern changes. High temperatures will once again reach the low 80s this afternoon even with a few clouds…it’s not quite record warmth, but it’s not too far off. Our skies still have plenty of sunshine, but overcast conditions will settle in throughout last Thursday evening and night.
Those clouds moving in tonight will remain stationary until at least early next week. This means we won’t see much sunshine between the start of Friday and continuing throughout the weekend.
In addition to the clouds, there will be light, intermittent rain between late tonight and noon Sunday. It won’t rain all day or even everywhere, that’s for sure. It looks like there will be light rain and rainy conditions for several hours each day during that 60 hour period.
Thank goodness no storms or severe weather are in the cards! However, we can’t rule out some moderate rain spells… this is the exception rather than the rule, but it’s still a good idea to check the interactive radar within the First Alert weather app before getting out and about. weekend.
Since most of the rain will be on the lighter side of the spectrum, rain totals over the next few days will remain near or below an inch.
While this would undoubtedly be helpful, it would do little for the ongoing drought conditions across the state.

As a result of some wet weather and gray skies, high temperatures will return to the 70s on Friday and 60s this weekend. Rain is unlikely on Monday but is possible again on Tuesday and Wednesday. This part of the forecast has a lot of uncertainty, so rain chances approaching 30% will need fine-tuning!
Regardless of whether we see any rain or not, high temperatures will remain in the 60s until next Wednesday. Despite cooler temperatures in the forecast, there’s no sign of a major cold snap on the horizon…even in late November.
