Following Saturday’s storm, a major change in weather pattern will develop this week as a ridge of high pressure lies off the coast and produces clear, dry weather with a cool and mild morning and afternoon Sunday through Wednesday.

A dry cold front will produce increasing northwesterly winds, cooler temperatures and low offshore clouds overnight and morning on Thanksgiving Day.

Following Saturday’s cold front, fresh to strong north winds (19 to 31 mph) will blow on Sunday. These winds will produce clear skies and moderate temperatures. However, pockets of dense ground fog can develop, especially in inland valleys, during the night and morning.

pattern of Moderate to fresh Santa Lucia (northeast) winds (13 to 24 mph) developing during the night and morning, decreasing and shifting from the northwest during the afternoon, will produce primarily clear, dry skies with cool mornings and mild afternoons Monday through Wednesday . Temperatures in the inland valleys (Paso Robles) and coastal valleys (San Luis Obispo) will reach the low to high 70s, while the beaches will reach the 60s.

A dry cold front will move over the Central Coast on Thanksgiving Day. This front will create fresh to strong northwesterly winds (19 to 31 mph) with pockets of fog and mist during the night and morning and cooler temperatures.

Gentle to moderate (8 to 18 mph) Santa Lucia (northeast) winds are expected to blow Friday through Saturday, producing mostly clear skies.

Another storm is expected to bring rain from November 28-29.
