Mountains exactly. We have some snow showers here today. The ocean influences most of southeastern Massachusetts, but that’s about it. Otherwise, we’ll get some sunshine today. Even brighter tomorrow, we will start to raise those temperatures. And yes, what we’re talking about is that high temperatures were recorded around Saturday. This is warm today in the middle of the country and will reach 70 degrees in New Orleans today. And the jet stream will build this warmth northward until we can get it here. As we head into Saturday and Sunday, it looks mild as well, but I think Saturday will be the warmest day, with upper 50s expected in Boston. The record is 60 degrees. We set it just last year on February 10th. A record at WORCESTER also of 56 degrees was set last year. I think we will be close to that. So, the warmth will come this weekend and it’s cold now. The coldest road along this route is two quarters away in orange where the sky is clear. It’s only 18 degrees and 22 degrees in Bedford. Even Boston 29 degrees. Then as you can see, we’re jumping near the freezing zone in southeastern Massachusetts. This is due to the cloud cover that persists over this area. This is a function of those northeasterly winds that generate not only clouds but also some of the ocean-impacting snow showers. You can see them turning from Plymouth down into Wareham Skimming Buzzards Bay towards Mattapoisett as well. Falmouth, it looks like you’re being attacked by two of these two. There is a function of this storm mainly near Bermuda now, and high pressure from the north is building together. This just keeps the northeasterly winds going. With these winds, we’ll keep those snow showers going today, and we don’t expect much accumulation at all. Just patchy coatings on unpaved surfaces. It will be very light. We’ll move into the mid-30s here. Otherwise, highs of 30°C to around 40°C with a mix of clouds and sunshine. The noon temperature today in Boston is around 37 degrees. Very appropriate for this time of year. But those really stubborn clouds over southeastern most of Massachusetts during the day tonight, though, are starting to move in, and that will bode well for us tomorrow. So it will become partly cloudy tonight. We’ll be in the 20s to near freezing on Cape Cod, tomorrow we’ll be back around 40 to 45 on average, and we could sneak into 47 in Norwood near 40 degrees on Cape Cod. Colin’s Pick of the Week As we will have mostly sunny skies and light winds with these mild temperatures, we will start to bring in more clouds, as we head into Friday. Since this front is approaching from the west. But this will allow warmth to build here. Now on Saturday during the day, there are too many clouds to prevent localized rain, but there is a better chance on Saturday evening. As this front crosses the area, temperatures will drop slightly here on Sunday. But we are still close to 50 degrees, and that is where we will start early next week. But our computer models are generating a storm. Watching the track on this one, because that would determine whether we’d get rain or snow, and how strong there was a signal of a storm, but the track was all over the place, so we’re watching it for you. But the timing of that really focused on Tuesday. Every now and then, we have that warm spring on the way. I feel like in recent years there has been a lot of stormy weather on Valentine’s Day. I feel like they’re always on Valentine’s Day
