The Greater Manchester weather forecast is forecast area-by-area with heavy rain expected to hit the area

The weather in Greater Manchester has taken a turn this week with scenes very much like autumn. The region enjoyed glorious sunshine last week as a heatwave swept across the UK.

Temperatures rose above 30 degrees Celsius for seven consecutive days in different parts of the country, while locals enjoyed temperatures reaching into the twenties. But temperatures have dropped today (September 12) while Greater Manchester is also facing heavy rain.
