The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast possible active monsoon conditions over several parts of the state till September 15. According to IMD, several states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and others will receive heavy rains over the next three days.
“There is likely to be heavy to very heavy rainfall activity over eastern Uttar Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh today and then it will decrease,” the Meteorological Office said in its latest bulletin.
“A fresh spell of rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Odisha, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana and Chhattisgarh from September 13,” he added.

Northwest India: Moderately widespread light/moderate rain/thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall activity very likely over western Uttar Pradesh on the 11th; Eastern Uttar Pradesh from 11 to 13; Uttarakhand from September 11, 13 to 15.
Central India: Light/moderate widespread to widespread rain/thunderstorms and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over western Madhya Pradesh on 11th and 15th; East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh during September 11-15 and Vidarbha during September 13-15.
East India: Moderately widespread light/moderate rainfall/thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall activity very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar on the 11th and 12th and over Odisha during the 11th and 15th; Jharkhand during 13-15 and over the Ganges in West Bengal on September 14-15.
South India: Fairly widespread light/moderate rain with isolated heavy rain likely over Kerala and Mahe on the 11th and 12th; RealSima on the 11th; Over coastal Andhra Pradesh on 11, 12 and 15 and over Telangana on 14 and 15 September.
West India: Light/moderate to widespread widespread rain/thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan, Goa and Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on September 15.
Northeast India: Fairly widespread light/moderate rain/thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall activity very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on 11th and 12th; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during September 11-15.
