Thursday and Friday bring more snow to the Louisville area

WINTER WEATHER UPDATES: Snow tapers off, arctic air persists

Cold temperatures will continue into next weekend, with the possibility of more light snow in the forecast

Your hands are kinda cold, I'm a little worried about them. I'm wet here. These are the videos of all the kids in the yard. We have all the neighbor kids in our yard having fun. Are you in this field yet? I got pictures of my little one, you know, but his daycare is also open today. OK. No lucky. Yes, you are one of the lucky few. Actually, that's the thing. Whether or not the kids are rushing outside or just stopping for a while, Mother Nature isn't going to let the snow fall anywhere. This is what is on Earth now and will remain with us for the next two days. This, this, this has really become more of a map of snow totals than anything that's going to fall as well. So, based on some of the reports that we have, it was less far to the south and west, dusting off an inch of additional snow that fell. There was still some snow on the ground from earlier during the week. There are plenty of locations throughout WLKY Zone 1 through 2, and up to three inches of new snow. Three-inch amounts have been reported around Oldham County. The highest numbers were three inches and a bit higher of snow in eastern Kentucky, but there was solid snow across the area and still a few flakes flying around, but it's all on the bright side on the Doppler radar. I think we'll wrap this up as well as we make our way through the rest of the morning, and especially the afternoon. Soon, some volatility could occur, but we are on the way down. Any snow accumulates quickly and look at the numbers. It's kind of holding out if it doesn't dip a little into the lower and middle 20s through the rest of the day. Then, once the sun goes down, we quickly enter adolescence. It will be very cold again tonight. The lowest level is at eight above zero. The only thing that will keep us above zero tonight is cloud cover. But boy, the wind will blow too. Out northwest at 10 to 15. So, it will feel like 10 below at times. So we will be well prepared when we start Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon only 20 degrees 29 after a low of 11 on Sunday. But look at the snow melting on Monday and Tuesday. We are in our forties. We start to see rain falling occasionally. Head our way through the middle of the week so we're soggy. But highs will reach the 50s. This is Los Angeles
