Good morning. Happy Monday, the Boston Marathon is just two hours away now, and the weather is looking good for the runners. Maybe not so for today's spectators at the start line during the jump around 9am. Clouds and pockets of drizzle with temperatures in the 40s and with clouds today, temperatures won't really get much higher. We're only in the low 50s this afternoon in Boston with a round of rain likely to develop around lunchtime. Things are quiet now. You may experience some pockets of drizzle and fog over the next couple of hours, but more consistent rain returns across central parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and that moves in our direction later today. So, there's a chance of some drizzle this morning, and a high chance of rain this afternoon and into early this evening. But overnight tonight will start to slowly dry things out with the possibility of more rain here and there on Tuesday, and your temperatures this afternoon, are not as warm as they have been the last few days. Although we have been on a cooling trend, every day for the past two days. This is definitely the coolest of the last five or so 50 along the shoreline to Rochester today, mid 50s through the Merrimack Valley, lower 50s, Laconia, up Mount Washington Valley, the warmest readings will be in places like Whitefield and below. Most of the Connecticut Valley is where temperatures can approach the 60 degree mark. Note that the showers are already approaching here late in the morning, and are somewhat isolated in nature with more widespread showers developing during the afternoon. Heavy rain or a rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out as a cold front swings through our area this evening. That will take most of the rain to our east, and there will still be a little rain into Tuesday. However, the widespread coverage does not come close to the showers expected for tomorrow. Rainfall totals are generally about *** a quarter of an inch. Take your pick here on either side of this number with higher amounts locally. One where we see*** a little bit of heavy rain and two on the south facing slopes of the White Mountains where there could be some localized enhanced rain there, here's your seven day forecast, and the seasonal temperatures will take us through midweek. There's still a chance of showers north Wednesday, otherwise the skies are somewhat brighter. I think we'll see more sunshine by Thursday and Friday, and temperatures will get back into the 60s. The pattern turns unsettled again next weekend with rain possible on Saturday and Sunday.
