This afternoon: Sunshine continues through the afternoon with seasonal conditions with highs reaching the upper 50s and low 60s. Winds are lighter from the northeast at 5-10 mph. Get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather if you can!

Tonight: Some clouds will form tonight, with the sky becoming partly cloudy. Lows on the eastern edge are cooler in the mid-30s, so there may be some frost. Lows are a little warmer for our central and eastern areas in the upper 30s and low 40s. Winds will be southeasterly at a speed of 5-15 knots per hour.

Thursday: Skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-60s across the region. Winds will be from the southeast at 10-20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Rain and storms are possible after midnight, but they are not expected to be severe. However, some frequent lightning and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Yellow Alert Day for Storm Track 7 is in effect Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the potential for strong to severe storms on each of the three days. Along with that, heavy rain will likely cause some flooding with 2 to 4 inches of rain possible over Thursday night into early Monday. There are still question marks in these next three days regarding extreme odds, so stay tuned to the forecast.

Friday: Rain and storms It continues into the morning hours of Friday, and then we see a little relief during the afternoon hours. If we see enough clearing during the afternoon, rain and storms heading to the west may continue to move east and maintain their strength to become strong to severe. If there is more cloud cover, rain, and more consistent storms, by the time our intense window opens, there won't be enough “fuel” so to speak for these storms. This is something to keep an eye on as we approach Friday. Aside from that, we see showers and storms, with heavy rain and frequent lightning at times. Highs will be in the mid 60s with strong southeast winds 15-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

weekend: The rain and storms temporarily end late Friday night, and we'll see some sunshine during the day Saturday. Then, Saturday afternoon and evening, we see a chance of rain and storms that could go from strong to severe. This activity continues into the night hours and into the early morning on Sunday. Like Friday, we could see a break late Sunday morning, then rain and storms redevelop during the afternoon and evening. Whether these conditions are strong to severe depends on the amount of sunlight and clarity we see during the day. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with updates as we receive them.
