Weekend alerts
–Intersection paving: Work that began last weekend continues east-southwest in Alaska between 44th and California this weekend. Here is the warning:
SDOT will be replacing several damaged concrete slabs at this location.
o Work will be done on Saturday. And the sun. 8 AM – 6 PM. Parking restrictions and lane closures will be in effect at 8 a.m. Saturday. – 7 a.m. Monday. To allow the concrete to cure.
Both eastbound lanes for this block will be closed starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. From September 16 to 7 a.m. September 18.
o The westbound lanes of this block will remain open at all times.
Parking will be restricted starting at 8am on Saturday. From September 16 to 7 a.m. September 18.
o “No Parking” signs will be placed on the west side of California Street SW
From the intersection of SW Alaska Street to ArtsWest.
o “No Parking” signs will be placed on Southwest 44th Avenue between Southwest Oregon Avenue and Southwest Alaska Boulevard.
Sidewalks will remain open at all times.
–Half orca: This is a half marathon from Lincoln Park to Don Armenian It starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. There are no road closures.
–National Holidays Parade: Portions of South Park’s main streets (South Cloverdale and 14th Avenue South) will be blocked for this parade from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
