Prospects
High pressure is moving east a bit which will allow temperatures to drop below 100 degrees during the day. However, temperatures will remain above average. By midweek, high pressure will return to Utah and will bring temperatures back up to triple digits. The fire danger remains high as a fairly dry storm system develops over central and southern Utah. The storms are bringing gusty winds up to 40 mph and a few lightning strikes. Expect a chance of thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. – Kristin Van Dyke, KSL Weather 7.14.24
